Application Example: Kugler-Womako
Better manufacturing quality by switching over to a WEISS rotary table
Challenge
Kugler-Womako, a manufacturer of binding machines, has developed a new type of paper ring binding system. This also raised the question of the linear transfer line, which has been the conventional binding method used throughout the industry.Solution
A rotary indexing ring from WEISS provided the answer. This allowed the costs for the recyclable paper ring binding to be reduced and the production quality to be increased. WEISS supplies the system as a complete unit, including subframe, rotary indexing table, fixed and rotary ring and frequency converter control.Products in use

Fixed-station rotary indexing ring

Rotary indexing tables involved breaking new ground for us. Yet thanks to excellent advice by WEISS and their complete delivery of the table, including subframe and processed rings, we were able to focus all of our efforts on our own processes.
